FAQs

  • When should I put out my curbside toters for pick-up?

Please put your containers by the curb the night before your scheduled pick-up. The ideal location is the left of your driveway when facing the street. Be sure that the toter handle faces your house and the can is within 2 feet of the road edge and 3-4 feet from obstructions, such as fences, lamp posts, mail boxes, trees, cars and recycling bins.

  • What do I do if my cart attracts bears?

If you live in an area where bears are an issue, consider waiting as long as possible before putting your food scraps in your container. If this remedy doesn't work, consider upgrading to a bear-resistant cart.

  • What items can I put into the recycling bin?

A list of acceptable items can be found on our Single Stream Recycling page.

  • Why do we pick-up recycling every other week?

Our experience has shown that increasing pick-up frequency does not increase material collected, but it does increase the amount of trucks on the road, causing wear and tear and impacting traffic. More pick-ups also mean increased cost of service.

  • What items cannot be included in residential garbage toters?

Items that we DO NOT allow in our toters include: construction material, appliances, demo, furniture, dirt, rocks, concrete, tires, liquid paint, asbestos, poisons, liquids, chemicals, toxins, combustible items, propane tanks, car batteries, alkaline batteries, lithium ion batteries or gasoline.

  • What size options do I have for a dumpster?

Dumpster sizes vary slightly by area, but in general we offer 6, 10, 15, 20 and 30 yard containers. If you are new to ordering dumpsters, we suggest you visit our Dumpster Rental page or speak with one of our highly knowledgeable customer service representatives at (800) 826-7952 to figure out which size will be best for you.

  • What items cannot be included in dumpsters?

Items that we DO NOT allow in our containers include: liquid paint, asbestos, poisons, liquids, chemicals, toxins, combustible items, propane tanks, car batteries, lithium ion batteries or gasoline.

  • How much advanced notice should I give to order a dumpster?

We suggest giving us 1-2 full business days notice in advance when ordering a dumpster.

  • How long do I get to use a temporary dumpster?

You may rent a dumpster as long as you would like, but rental rates may vary seasonally or based on container availability. Please call (800) 826-7952 for our current rates.

  • How can I order a roll off dumpster?

There are two ways you can place an order with us. If you know exactly what you are looking for you can request a dumpster on our Dumpster Rental page, or you can also place an order over the phone at (800) 826-7952.

  • Does the dumpster have a door that opens?

All of our dumpsters that are 10 yards or larger have a door that opens, allowing for you to walk inside and place your items without having to throw them over the side. Our smaller 6 yard dumpsters do not have a door allowing you to walk inside, nor do they have lids.

  • Do you give exact timing of delivery for a dumpster?

Due to many factors including traffic and weather, we cannot give an exact time for delivery or pick-up of a dumpster. We will do our best to be there at the time that would be ideal for you, and you may call (800) 826-7952 on the day of delivery for an estimated delivery time.

  • Do you automatically pick-up my dumpster?

We do not automatically pick up rental dumpsters, so we do not mistakenly pick up a dumpster that is still being used. We need 1 business day's notice to guarantee your dumpster will be picked up the next day, or you can preschedule your dumpster pick-up when ordering.

  • How can I pay for a dumpster rental?

We offer a variety of payment options for your roll-off dumpster rental. They include bank check over the phone, American Express, Mastercard, Discover and Visa. All dumpster orders are payment on order.
